Here is my favorite brownie recipe:
1. Go to the store and buy a box of brownie mix.
2. Go home and follow the directions on the box.
3. Sprinkle some chocolate chips on top of the brownie batter.
4. Bake your brownies and enjoy them as soon as they are done cooking, because warm brownies can’t be beat. Go ahead and throw some ice cream and hot fudge on there too.
You think I jest? I have never eaten a from-scratch brownie that is as good as a brownie from a store-bought brownie mix. Those brownie makers have really got something going. They have perfected brownies. The fudgy, chewy goodness just can’t be copied at home. I don’t know how they achieve such chocolate-y goodness, but I do know that it’s delicious.
So are you ready for my Best Brownies Ever Challenge? Do you think you have a brownie recipe that is better than a store-bought mix?
If so, please share it with me. I will make each recipe and then judge. If anyone gives me a recipe that I think is better than store-bought mix brownies, you will win a prize. It might be a lame prize, but it will be a prize, nonetheless. It might be a bumper sticker that says, “I am a brownie champion!” Or it might not.
Oh, and if you don’t trust me to make the brownies myself and you happen to know me and live in Pittsburgh, feel free to drop some off! I accept all brownie donations.
